Kosztolányi Kann Gyula

1868. január 9-én született Pesten. Festő és építész, aki Karlovszky Bertalannál és Hollósy Simon müncheni iskolájában folytatott festészeti tanulmányokat. A Japán kávéház asztaltársaságához tartozott, a Magyar Impresszionisták és Naturalisták Köre (MIÉNK) egyik alapítója volt. Építészként egy műteremház és mintegy kétkötetnyi ideálterv köthető nevéhez, melyeket 1902-ben és 1909-ben adott közre. A Műcsarnok 1911-es kiállításán egy tájképével, Szeptemberi délután cíművel a Ráth György-díjat, Badeni motívum c. képével 1913-ban a Nemzeti Szalon aranyérmét nyerte el. Legtöbb műve magántulajdonba került, de több művét őrzi a Magyar Nemzeti Galéria is. 1946. január 5-én hunyt el Budapesten.
