(Szklabonya 1847. január 16. – Budapest, Józsefváros, 1910. május 28.) magyar író, újságíró, szerkesztő, országgyűlési képviselő, a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia levelező tagja, a Kisfaludy Társaság és Petőfi Társaság rendes tagja, a Budapesti Egyetem tiszteletbeli bölcsészdoktora.
