Tiszteletét kifejezve az iskola egykori diákja előtt a BGSZC Szent István Technikum és Kollégium emléktáblát állított az FTC, a Budapesti Honvéd, az Aranycsapat és az FC Barcelona legendássá vált magyar labdarúgója, Kocsis Sándor emlékére. Az emléktábla avatására a Dr. Kovács Barnabás által kezdeményezett KOCSIS90 emlékév programsorozat keretében került sor. Az esemény Harmath Zsolt igazgató úr által valósulhatott meg, a KOCSIS90 emlékév fővédnöke Csányi Sándor, az MLSZ elnöke, a FIFA és az UEFA alelnöke.
